Effective and Compassionate Wound Care

Hauwa*, a woman from the Dakoro region, displayed the 4 inch wide dressing from her left hip
"I am SO much better!"
across her entire back. She had suffered from malaria and gone to a local dispensary to receive medication. They gave her a series of three injections which is common practice for malaria treatment. She did not know what type of medication she was given but she developed a horrible infection from the injections which is requiring extensive wound care to bring healing. She told how every clinic she went to, instead of receiving care, she just got shocked responses from nurses and doctors. Susan*, a nurse on the women’s ward here at Danja, was there for her initial exam, and told her, “You come with me, and I can start treating it.” Hauwa shares that the care, compassion and prayer she has received at CSL have spoken to her heart and she is keen to know more about Jesus.
